Accessibility

We have designed this site with the intension of making it as accessible to as many people as possible.

Changing the size of the text

We have endeavoured to make all text as readable as possible by using relative font sizes. This enables browsers to resize fonts and without detriment to the page layout in most instances. We have used Ariel and veranda fonts for easy reading.

If you find that the font size used on this website is too small or large for you, follow the steps below for the browser that you use.

Internet Explorer

  1. Select “View” from the menu at the top of your screen.
  2. Choose “Text size” from the menu that appears and then choose the size that you would like to use.

Firefox and Netscape

  1. Select “View” from the menu at the top of your screen.
  2. Choose “Text size” from the menu that appears and then choose whether you would like to increase or decrease the text size.

You can also change the size using your keyboard. Hold down the “Ctrl” key and then press “+” or “-” to increase or decrease the text size.

Graphics

We have used text in favour of graphics to convey the written word.
Where appropriate and possible we have used an alternative text attribute to describe an images content.

Screen resolution

The web site is best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 pixels wide although most content including the site navigation can be accessed at a resolution of 800 pixels wide.
